The Visual Effects Association of BC (VEA[BC]) is a diverse group of BC-based visual effects professionals. Artists. Technicians. Coordinators. Supervisors. Producers. We, as a group, all recognize the need for a voice to speak up for the interests of the visual effects community...so here we are. We hope you'll join us.

APPRENTICE VEA[BC] membership will get you involved and in the know.  Membership lets you:

   • Learn about industry Events and Jobs faster.
   • Get your name on the local availabilities job list that employers will use to find personnel.
   • Get behind the closed door and read what the industry is talking about on the VEA[BC] forums.
   • Become part of your community and ask questions and seek tips from your peers.
   • Become involved in your community and help it grow.
   • Attend the meetings to see how your industry is evolving and the challenges facing it.

The VEA[BC] is your community voice!  Becoming a member will provide you an avenue to speak out on your industry.  We are here to help.  Talking to us is talking to the community.

Membership Requirements
To qualify for membership in the VEA(BC), one must be a Canadian Citizen and a BC resident and/or fufil eligibility requirements for Provincial Tax incentives geared toward VFX.

Requires a Certificate of Completion from a BC accredited educational institution in a Full Certificate Program pertaining to Visual Effects. References to be checked if submitted. OR Submission of a Demo Reel for review and critique from representatives of the VEA(BC). References to be checked if submitted.
$45 / year
* Demo Reels are required for all applicants who are applying with an Artist Based background.
